DATE:
AUTHOR: The SPARK team

The SBA released the updated SBA Form 1919, "Borrower Information Form," revised to reflect the Criminal Justice Rule, last week. This change was first announced in an SBA Procedural Notice on May 30th. We're currently targeting the release of these updates in SPARK this evening, Thursday, July 18th.

The updated form includes a slight modification to the wording of Question 4 regarding incarceration.

Updates to SPARK:

  • Business History, Entity Owner History, and Personal History forms will reflect the updated Question 4 verbiage.

  • Going forward, SBA Form 1919s generated in SPARK will use the new version of the form.

The SBA has provided a 30-day grace period for the transition. During this time, you may continue using the previous version of the form or start using the updated version.
