    SPARK 8.2.5 Release Notes

      The SPARK 8.2.5 release is planned for Saturday, January 31st. The maintenance window will occur from 11:00 PM CT on Saturday, January 31st through 9:00 AM CT on Sunday, February 1st.

      What's Changed

      Package Email Notification History

      We’ve redesigned the Notifications page within a package to make it easier to review package email notifications. This section has been renamed to 'Email Notifications.'

      • The page now features an updated visual design for improved readability.

      • Email content can be viewed in a new side panel, allowing you to review messages without leaving the list.

      • You can now export email notifications to PDF for record keeping.

      Improved Task Notifications

      Email notifications for internal task assignments, reassignments, and status changes now feature an updated, cleaner design that's consistent across SPARK.

      Applicant Portal User Experience

      • The 'Available Applications' header upon login has been updated to 'My Dashboard.'

      • Active and Completed application lists now always display their headers, even when only one list contains applications, making the dashboard easier to scan and understand.

      • When in an Application, the picklist is now limited to Active Applications.

      • If the Applicant Portal User has access to more than 6 active packages, when viewing an Application, the Application picklist now says '< Go to My Dashboard' instead of 'View Full List.' 

      Collateral Documents and Tasks Naming Convention

      • Improved naming conventions for collateral-related document placeholders and tasks, now including the collateral sub types and addresses when available for easier identification.

      Package Activity

      The search bar has moved to the left side of the page to align with other search actions in SPARK, while pagination and sorting controls are now located on the right.

      What's Been Fixed

      • Origination Fee on LOIs and Commitment Letters: Fixed an issue where products without a default origination fee percentage were not correctly pulling origination fees into Commitment Letters and Letters of Interest. This issue was resolved in a hotfix.

      • Docusign Integration - Signer Selection and UX Improvements: Fixed several issues affecting signer availability and selection during Docusign workflows. These updates were resolved in a hotfix and include the following fixes and improvements:

        • Signer selection now supports search-as-you-type

        • External contacts are prioritized at the top of the signer list

        • Individuals without a SPARK user account are now available as signers

        • Lender contacts are now included in multi-lender environments

        • Referral Partner contacts associated with the package are now available for signer selection

        • “Save and Add Another Signer” now works as expected

        • Phone numbers are auto-populated when using Docusign Phone Authentication

      • Tax Guard Integration - Transcript Availability: Fixed an issue where completed Tax Guard orders did not automatically attach tax return transcripts without manually refreshing the task. This issue was resolved in a hotfix.

      • Tax Guard Integration - Business Address Updates: Fixed an issue where the address for an existing Tax Guard business client was not updated when new tax return transcripts were ordered. This issue was resolved in a hotfix.

      • Removing Businesses with Lumos Reports: Fixed an issue preventing businesses with a Lumos report from being removed from a package.

      • White Space Cleanup for Businesses and Individuals: Updated save behavior for businesses and individuals to automatically remove leading and trailing spaces. Updated existing business and individual names to remove leading and trailing white space from names.

      • Deleted Placeholder Count: Fixed a display issue where the deleted placeholder count in the Documents “… More” menu included placeholders the user did not have permission to view or restore. This was a display-only issue.

      • Tax Return Analysis - 1065 Forms: Fixed an issue where 2022 Form 1065 returns were excluded from analysis when balance sheets were enabled due to post-2022 format changes.

      • Joint Credit Reports: Fixed an issue where joint credit reports incorrectly showed the same score for both spouses when one report was frozen.

      • Task Activity Time Zones: Fixed an issue where task comments and change log timestamps created by SPARK were not converted to the user’s local time zone.
